technical seminar / training / workshops

IEEE EMB members in Malaysia may invite distinguished resource persons to give seminar, training or workshop that will benefit EMB members and potential members at a certain locality.

leadership seminar / training / workshops

IEEE EMB members in Malaysia may invite distinguished resource persons to give seminar, training or workshop that will enhance the leadership and management abilities of its fellow members.


technical / social competitions

IEEE EMB members in Malaysia may organize competitive events that will serve to meet one or more of the objectives laid out in the section above.

community involvement activity

IEEE EMB members may organize activities for community involvement such as tutorials for children, field trips in underdeveloped communities, research application for underdeveloped communities, and help directly the calamity stricken areas.

proposal guidelines & conditions

The IEEE EMB Chapter of Malaysia will provide an activity seed grant to carry out the activity in partnership with the requesting member.

  • This activity seed grant is for activities from April 2026 to December 2026.
  • Proposals are welcomed all through the year.
  • The proposal forms must be completed by the applicant and endorsed by the Head of Department (or equivalent)
  • In the proposal form, please include the following:
    • Applicant’s name and contact details
    • Information regarding the activity
    • The estimated budget of the event
  • All applicants must be members of EMB at the time of applying.
  • Proposals must be submitted to info@embs.my in electronic format.
  • Please make sure that an acknowledgement is received after sending the proposal, or it should be assumed that the submission is not received.
  • At the end of the event, the applicant has to submit a report of the concluded activity, including relevant picture to show the impact of the event.
  • Applicants will be informed by the committee on the status of their application in writing one (1) month from the date of submission.

The limit of support for each proposal amounts to MYR 300.00. Apply here.
