The IEEE Engineering in Medicine & Biology Society (IEEE-EMBS) Chapter of the Malaysia Section is one of eighteen (18) existing chapters in Malaysia, and is one of the few IEEE EMBS Chapters in South East Asia, and belongs to the IEEE Region 10. The chapter was formed in 2009.
By 2012, the IEEE-EMBS Chapter of Malaysia (MyEMBS) was first awarded the "2012 Most Outstanding IEEE-EMBS Chapter" by IEEE-EMBS Headquarter (HQ). The chapter received the Most Outstanding Chapter by the HQ again in 2015 and 2019.
The IEEE-EMBS Malaysia Chapter constantly seeks to collaborate and work with related entities. Thus far, we have established linkages with various IEEE-EMBS Chapters such as Singapore Chapter, Shenzhen Chapter, Shanghai Chapter, and others. Besides that, we also worked closely with IEEE Student Branches and IEEE-EMBS Student Chapters namely, IEEE UiTM Student Branch, IEEE-EMBS Student Chapters of Curtin University Sarawak campus, and also the newly formed IEEE-EMBS Student Chapters of Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman. There are also two IEEE-EMBS Students Clubs which are IEEE-EMBS Student Club of Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia and IEEE-EMBS Student Club of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.
We are looking forward to establishing more linkages, and we look forward to listening to you too.
